Elite United States Air Force Group Tops in Blue to Cover “Lies and Bruises”

For the FIRST time in its 62-year history, the United States Air Force’s elite performing group Tops in Blue will cover a former member’s song. CMA recording artist Ryan Daniel toured with the group during his almost ten-year Air Force career throughout 20 different countries to entertain an estimated 250,000 active military members and civilians. Tops in Blue will cover Daniel’s latest single “Lies and Bruises,” which touches on domestic violence issues. The single was inspired by the death of 19-year-old Emily-Anna Asbill. Asbill was murdered by her boyfriend in June 2013, and her mother’s tireless efforts for domestic violence law reform eventually led to the writing of “Lies and Bruises.”

“Lies and Bruises” was released to independent radio in late March 2015. The single is currently in its third consecutive week at the number one spot on The Iceman’s Top 40 countdown, and at number four on independent charts in the United Kingdom. The single will be featured as the closing number for the 2015 Tops in Blue international tour.

About Ryan Daniel:

CMA Recording Artist Ryan Daniel is a country music star on the rise. The southern charmer is a proud United States Air Force veteran and family man. He began his music career touring military bases around the world, as a member of the elite military musical group “Tops in Blue.” It was during this time that he met producer Barry Best and his dream of becoming a solo country artist became a reality.

Daniel’s first album “Love, Life, and Memories” produced multiple Indie hits and introduced his rich tenor voice to a mass audience. The album won the 2014 Indie Music Channel (IMC) Award for Album of the Year and earned Daniel an IMC Country Artist of the Year nomination. His latest single “Lies & Bruises” continues Daniel’s trend of creating powerful and emotionally charged music.
